GERMANTOWN, WI [ JG ]  I’d hoped to make it my Monday morning exclusive, but JSOnline beat me to it so I spilled the beans last night on Kevin Fischer’s “Franklin Now / This Just In” blog.

I’ll save you some clicking:  I got one of the Community Columnist positions with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  And again, if I weren’t already so full of myself, this is the kind of thing that could go to my head.

I’m filling in for Mr. Fischer because, as some of you know, I want to put “The Guy Who Fills In For The Guy Who Fills In For The Guy Who Fills In For Rush Limbaugh” on my business cards.  That responsibility, and my prep for the Journal gig are going to eat into my time some, so don’t be surprised if I use filler materials to pad out my posts on this week’s Daily Scoff.

Don’t worry.  I’ll probably be so clever about it you won’t even realize when it happens.

Awww!  Nook da wittle fuzzy boo boo bunny wunny wabbit!  Him’s so cute!  Yes hims is!

That’s the key to being a successful, professional blogger.  You have to master the subtleties of the online media.  It requires timing.  It requires stealth.

Self-delusion helps some too…
