Gwen Moore reportedly “…earns* a $170,000 annual salary as a member of Congress”. But we can’t cut spending anywhere. [*their word, not mine]
MILWAUKEE, WI [ LINK : Chicago Tribune ] It takes her average constituent the better part of a decade to earn what she takes home in a year. Worse for me is the thought that I’ll work (I mean “work” Gwen, at a real job) four or five years to fork over the cash for her annual salary. Ergo, if she manages to stay in office for twenty years, I’ll spend my entire life in subservience, just to provide her paycheck.
If I were more ambitious (and less employed) maybe I could find the time and energy to Photoshop a “Golden Fleece Award” skin to wrap around a YouTube viewer of Ms. Moore’s gaffs and outbursts on the floor. But not only am I too busy working to pay her salary (and those of her comrades in office), I’d also have to weigh in the cost of new tires for my car if I ruffle too many feathers on her boa.
