NEW YORK, NY [ AP / FOX6 ]  Justice has finally been served, as nefarious gunman Plaxico Burress was today sentenced to prison for his savage attack against beloved ex-Giant football player, Plaxico Burress.

“I want to apologize,” Burress said.  “If I had it to do all over again, I’d have jumped in front of me and taken that bullet myself.  No excuses.  This is all on me.”

The shooting victim’s family seemed happy with the sentence.  Burress’ mother said staunchly “Maybe this will give him time to think about what he’s done!”  Her thoughts were apparently interrupted when the shooter’s mother proclaimed “They’re taking my baby off to prison!”

Other NFL players refused to comment, including both Randy Mosses all six Brett Favres…
