MILWAUKEE, WI [ JG ] After meeting and speaking with her last Tuesday, I now have to blame State Representative Leah Vukmir for, through no fault of her own, getting this awesome Donny Iris song stuck in my head all week:

(I should probably blame her folks more.  It’s unlikely she named herself.)

Given the racy lyrical content of the song, I doubt she’ll be flattered by my admission, but I had to do SOMETHING to get that #@$&! tune out of my head.  I figured sticking it in YOUR head might help.  And if it’ll make us even, she can tell people that I remind her of the song “Love Train”.

What?  It’s by the O’Jays.  My name’s “J.”.  Sheesh.

Oh, you thought I meant–  well, you’re just nasty.

I’m running through the list of other Leahs that I know or have known, and the answer is “none”.  None more Leahs.

Which makes it official:  She’s my favorite Leah.

If Wauwatosa voters don’t feel the same way, they should.  Their state rep is all at once straight-forward & tactful, common and refined, down-to-Earth and dignified.  She’s that rare type of lady who could exclaim “Bullsh*t!” and make it sound elegant.

(You’re free to quote that last sentence in your campaign literature, Leah.)

Between you and me, her perfume rocked too.  If Wisconsin chose  elected officials based solely on how great they smelled, the subject of this posting would be Governor Vukmir.

What?  Smelling nice doesn’t seem like much of an accomplishment to you?
