Getting an Ifill of Sarah

SAN FRANSICKO, CA [ JG ]  If I’d been asked to sum up my hope for last night’s VP debate in two words, I’d have said “wardrobe malfunction”.

No such luck.

There was one moment of refreshing honesty, just past midway in the event when, in what I’m sure she’d claim was a slip of the tongue, it sounded as though moderator Gwen Ifill referred to cooperation between the two parties as “bipartisanshit”.  She quickly re-enunciated the word, while I laughed on Freud’s behalf.

The viewership ratings aren’t in yet as I type this, but I’ll stand by my Fox News & Journal / Sentinel predictions that the numbers will dwarf the last ObaMcCain showdown.  I really have no read on the remaining debates yet, but I’m always interested in your take on it.

I haven’t participated in any post-debate polling myself.  Not that I’m disinterested, I just haven’t come across a ballot that allows me to rate Palin by putting a checkmark next to “Yeah, I’d hit that.”  I might check that same box next to Biden’s name, but it’d mean something totally different if I did.

Maybe I’d pencil in “…with my car” just for clarity…
