Fez gets his own sitcom? Sorta.
Los Angeles [LINK : New York Times] The appeal of “small-town Wisconsin” has won over Hollywood again. A new television program showcasing our quaint mid-western charm is described by the producers as “…a comedy built around a Pakistani Muslim exchange student who moves in with a somewhat reluctant family…”.

Adhir Kalyan in character as the Pakistani exchange
student Raja Musharaff from “Aliens in America”.
While early episodes of “That 70s Show” nailed some of my experiences growing up in Manitowoc, I’ve also watched with irate befuddlement as Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy cruised past palm trees on the streets of “Port Washington” in “Step by Step”. I also remember mid-February scenes from “the Young and the Restless” as characters would be seen outdoors in what amounted to thick windbreakers with scarves draped stylishly about their shoulders.

I called the fonz and potsy and they say only 15-20 people will watch anyway. Potsy said he will make an effort to tune in but he wants me to call when it’s on. Fonzy is just waiting for the statue.
