MILWAUKEE [LINK : JSONLINE] If you saw the news last night, you know that Freddie T. Dudley:
- Confessed to a murder;
- Recanted that confession; and
- Now claims the confession was coerced.

But my favorite part of this whole weird “notice me, dammit” episode was at the end of last night’s interview with Fox6 News, when “Dud” said this whole episode made him vow to never get in trouble with the law again. Wow. This MUST have been traumatic for him.
Because nothing else on his two-page long rap sheet has had any kind of deterrent effect like that or inspired a moral epiphany during his lengthy criminal past.
Nothing.
Not the handful of misdemeanor charges and arrests.
Not the battery charges and arrests.
Not the restraining order violations and ensuing arrests.
Not the felony fleeing an officer and the subsequent arrest.
Not his first arrest and conviction for DUI.
Not his second arrest and conviction for DUI.
Nor his third arrest and conviction for DUI.
Nor his fourth arrest and conviction for DUI.
Nor his fifth arrest and conviction for DUI.
Nor his sixth arrest and conviction for DUI.
But this incident, and all the ugly consequences that go hand-in-hand(cuffs) with pretending to be a murderer have apparently set Mr. Dudley on the straight and narrow for good from here on out.
Bravo. Good for you, Freddie. Welcome back to society.
Well, for a couple of days, anyway…

The sad part is what happened to the correction officers that were fired last fall. One has lost his home, his wife and kids, and accrued a load of debt. Just because they were expendable.
