Have we learned NOTHING from late Klansman-cum-Democrat Robert Byrd?
Folks, if you want to shield yourself from charges of racism, for God’s sake, keep that DNC registration card in your wallet at ALL times.
This knowledge apparently escaped CNN’s Rick Sanchez, who complained that Jon Stewart’s “Daily Show” is staffed (much like the Democrat sides of the House and Senate) with mostly white people.

Rick Sanchez : Thought white liberals could be bigoted. Wacky, right?
Again people, that doesn’t matter. Just like it didn’t matter that the doors to the University of Alabama were blockaded by Democrat George Wallace to keep black kids away, and it didn’t matter that Democrats like John C. Breckinridge et al fought to the death to oppose the Republican Lincoln administration’s resolve to end slavery.
The only thing that matters is that Democrats mean well.
Now talk nice about ‘em or you’re fired…

This is an intentionally misleading article, obviously created to minimize the damage resulting from Rick Sanchez’s clearly articulated antisemitizm. He did NOT refer to “white people”, he said “JEWISH” and went on a typical racist jews-run-the-media tirade. Jeez, you righties act like we don’t live in a time where everything you say is instantly recorded and transmitted across the globe. Here ya go:
“I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that they — the people in this country who are JEWISH — are an oppressed minority. Yeah.”
-Rick Sanchez

If I understand correctly, you’re upset that I’ve referred to Jon Stewart as “white”, and would prefer that I point out to people that he’s Jewish.
As a child, I was taught (again, by television, my paragon of virtue) not to do that:

What is more misleading is when you cite examples of acts committed by people of a political party half a century to a century ago. The Republican party that Lincoln was a part of is not the same as today. And do you honestly think that Teddy Roosevelt’s anti-business actions and founder of the conservationist movement would find a home in the Republican party? And the racist “Dixiecrats” of old basically left the party after the 1948 election.

Robert Carlyle Byrd (born Cornelius Calvin Sale, Jr.; November 20, 1917 – June 28, 2010)
2010 ain’t 1948. And Democrats were still electing segregationist George Wallace well into the 1980s.
We could sing-along to “Hymietown” with Jessie Jackson in the 1990s, or remark at Joe Biden’s astonishment that the DNC had found a “clean and articulate” African-American candidate, and (quoth Steve Perry) “on, and on, and on, and on”.
But again, they have their DNC cards, and thus cannot, ever, for ANY reason, be considered “racists”, which is the point of the article, and one that 1) nobody has yet to contradict; and 2) Sanchez must learn to accept:
Liberals are never racists…
