Milwaukee [LINK: JSOnline.com] The Journal-Sentinel thinks more highly of their loony-lefty-liberal, Eugene Kane than it does of token-talented-temperate, Patrick McIlheran. You don’t look surprised. Hey, I’m not stumpin’ for a freakin’ Pulitzer here. But bear with me, here’s the kicker.
As you can see (click to enlarge) the “Columnists” directory on the newspaper’s website subdivides the various writers into their respective pigeonholes. What I found brazen was that the publishers put Mr. Kane under the heading of “News” while Mr. McIlheran is relegated to the “Editorial” section.
You see, boys and girls, Eugene deals strictly in cold, hard facts. That crap spewing from Patrick’s keyboard is just his opinion, and should be regarded as little more than the rantings of an angry white guy. McIlheran, we should all understand, plays the wacky and whimsical Andy Rooney to Kane’s stoic and reasoned Ed Bradley…
