And I’d even wager that, were we to compile a balance sheet of Dan Bice’s GOP vs DNC exposés, it would tilt more than a little toward the favor of the left. I’ll even concede that, consciously or not, he pursues some conservatives more enthusiastically than he does some Democrats.
Bice may not live in the polito-sophical middle-ground, but at least he’s willing to camp there from time to time. And that’s got to be worth something.
I hear your exasperated sighs. Many, if not most, of my conservative brethren won’t share my delight at what they likely perceive as being thrown crumbs from the NFM (Non Fox Media) and I understand that. But having witnessed years of the NFM’s embarrassing apologetics (culminating in the epically slanted 60 Minutes piece wherein Steve Kroft quite nearly went down on Obama and Bill Clinton’s husband), one has to take SOME solace in the fact that somebody from the Journal-Sentinel is willing to, if not straddle the political fence, at least peer over it from time to time.
At least Bice isn’t an extremist left-wing lunatic, like Eugene Kane. Or Ted Perry*…
*Disclaimer: Ted Perry is not a left-wing lunatic. He just plays one on TV.**
**Disclaimer disclaimer: Ted Perry is a libertarian-leaning pro-gun and anti-smoking ban anchorman. See, that’s what made lumping him in with Kane ironic. It’s sort of like if I had said “…great quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler.”***
***Disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer: Okay, ordinarily if I have to explain a joke, I delete it and/or re-write it. But I’m kind of invested in this now, so I’m all in. I’ll be funnier tomorrow…
