WAUKESHA, WI [ STORY : JSOnline ] In a state where the bumper of every rusted-out Subaru is held to the frame with Obama campaign stickers, it was welcome news (albeit, very little comfort) that the GOP swept the ticket.
So thanks to Waukesha County, conservatism is like, 1 and 71 on the season statewide. We might not have made the playoffs, but we weren’t skunked dammit.

Maybe the better news here is that the county, which was showing signs of veering off the left side of the road ever since the Democrat coup of the Waukesha mayor’s office, has dug in its heels. The rope is actually moving back to the right and, at least for now, the GOP won’t hit the mud puddle in THAT county anyway.

Yay.
I moved out of that part of the state this year, to Germantown in Washington County. That’s akin to hopping from one sturdy conservative rock to the next while crossing a fast rushing stream of Liberalism. We’ll see how high the waterline rises, but for now my powder and I are I staying dry.
Waukesha’s proximity to Milwaukee, and the fact that it’s flanked by Madison, might be reason enough for that conservative bastion to consider surrounding itself with a wall. If they build it, they’d better make it thick.
It’ll have to be strong enough to stop a train…
